Who can be a guarantor?

A guarantor must be:

  1. A resident Jamaican national or a Jamaican citizen resident in Jamaica for at least 5 years
  2. Employed for at least 1 year in Jamaica
  3. Between 18 and 65 years old. Guarantors over ages sixty five (65) may be accepted on a case by case basis based on their financial capabilities and fulfilling other stated criteria.
  4. Gainfully employed – whether formally or self-employed
  5. In Possession of a Tax Registration Number (T.R.N.)
