An individual may be a beneficiary and guarantor under special conditions. For example, someone can be a guarantee on for a Targeted loan and apply (borrower) for a PAYS loan within the same academic year. An assessment of the financial capacity for both loans will be done to determine decision.
An individual cannot guarantee their own loan.
